Mid-Range Shooter/Hunter Course
The Mid-Range Shooter/Hunter Course is designed to dramatically increase your ability to get predictable, repeatable, precise shots on targets using the rifles, optics, and gear common to real world shooting and hunting scenarios. This is not a 1,000 yard + long range “sniper” course, although the fundamentals learned in this course are relevant to those applications.
Very few shots will be taken from the prone position. You will learn to shoot from sitting, kneeling, standing, and the use of adjuncts to assist in maintaining stability.
Semi-auto “patrol” rifles are welcome for this course, as are bolt action rifles. Your goal target size will be determined by the capabilities of your rifle, ammo and optic. Rifles chambered in 5.56NATO and 7.62X39mm are welcome on this course, but the shooter will have a much more rewarding experience with larger calibers, such as 6.5 Creedmoor, .260 Remington, .308 Winchester, and long action chamberings.
This course is only open to those who have taken previous rifle courses with Tactical Fitness.
