Tactical Fitness Austin and Healthy Buffalo join forces in order to create a comprehensive women’s only self-defense clinic based on firearm and hand to hand combat best practices. This course is designed to provide essential defensive skills and security awareness fundamentals for women. The day will begin with a 4 hour long defensive pistol fundamentals class with Tactical Fitness Austin and will end with a 3 hour self defense clinic with Christun Erwin from Healthy Buffalo.

With over 16 years of operational experience, Bernardo is a subject matter expert in the field of Counter Terrorism (CT) and security best practices. His expertise covers high-risk police tactics, special operations (SOF), dignitary protection (CP) and close quarters battle (CQB).
Bernardo recently retired from active duty in a Special Operations unit of the Border Patrol, focusing on direct action and low visibility operations. He has served as a Federal Air Marshall, Personal Bodyguard to the Chief of Staff (IDF), Combat instructor and Counter Assault Team member to the Israeli Dignitary Protection Unit.

2nd Degree Black Belt in Karate / Certified Instructor under Aaron Janetti’s Knife Control Concepts Program out of Hilliard, OH.
Currently trains in Muay Thai, Kickboxing under coach Aaron Kimball at TCB Fight Team, and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu under Shawn Pretat and Elle Jackson at TOSS Academy. In the past two years she has had over 250 training hours in close contact / force on force firearm and knife defense / combatives.

IWB or OWB Sturdy Holster with trigger guard protection and weapon retention, preferably made of KYDEX. No collapsible, sticky, Pocket Holster, Armpit, Ankle, Leather or Surpa type Holsters. No index release holsters
RENTALS AVAILABLE! Tactical Fitness Austin can provide a limited number of Handgun rental packages to anyone who does not own a handgun on a first come first served basis. PLEASE NOTE: handgun rental package is only available with the purchase of 200 rounds or more of 9mm ammunition from OUR GUN STORE WEBSITE.
