“Urban Carbine Level 1” is a thorough course open to all levels seeking comprehensive training in urban combat scenarios. Designed to equip students with the necessary skills and strategies for engagements in densely populated environments, this course focuses on the effective utilization of carbines.

Your Instructor

With over 16 years of operational experience, Bernardo is a subject matter expert in the field of Counter Terrorism (CT) and security best practices. His expertise covers high-risk police tactics, special operations (SOF), dignitary protection (CP) and close quarters battle (CQB).

Bernardo recently retired from active duty in a Special Operations unit of the Border Patrol, focusing on direct action and low visibility operations. He has served as a Federal Air Marshall, Personal Bodyguard to the Chief of Staff (IDF), Combat instructor and Counter Assault Team member to the Israeli Dignitary Protection Unit.

  • Certified Active Shooter Response Instructor – ALERRT
  • Solo Officer Rapid Deployment Instructor – ALERRT
  • Breaching Instructor – ALERRT
  • Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events Instructor – TEEX
  • Counter Terror and Riot Control Instructor – Israel National Police
  • Senior Defensive Tactics Instructor – Israel Security Agency
  • Gracie Survival Tactics for Law Enforcement Instructor GST LV2 – Gracie University

  • Zeroing procedures
  • Shooting from Standing, kneeling, prone
  • Speed and tactical magazine changes
  • Dynamic Movement engagement scenarios
  • Threshold evaluation
  • Ideal for beginners

Shooting Gear:

  • AR15 with red dot or magnified optic with illuminated reticle (iron sights are also welcome). Pistol Caliber Carbines, AKs, Tavors, Scars are also welcome. + 400 rounds approx of new ammunition minimum- make sure to have the correct caliber for your gun!
  • 4 standard capacity magazines
  • Mag carriers / holder
  • Sling
  • Water
  • Sunscreen
  • Shoes, belt, long pants, t-shirt, and hat (weather appropriate clothing)
  • Eye and ear protection
  • Knee pads
  • Gloves (optional)
